KIds Play Better Golf with Decent Clubs
If you want your Children to play Golf then there is often a temptation to give them the cheapest, nastiest set of rubbish you can find so that they can see if they enjoy the sport. This has to be the worst thing you could ever do and I am going to explain why.
When a golf club is planned an developed it has an intended swing weight that is attained from installing a shaft between certain lengths. If you move the length of the club outside these parameters then you end up with a club that will not work. By cutting down a shaft to suit a small Child you effectively make the club extremely heavy and it will be seriously hard to hit.
Also you will affect the flex, again this is designed with a specific length in mind so by shortening the club you end up with a very stiff shaft.
If we think about a really heavy club with an extra stiff shaft then you can imagine how hard it will be for a Child to have any chance of hitting it properly.
